Argentina does have a right because in their understanding the Islands are theirs - it's disputed territory. Nobody disputes the territories of France, England, Wales and Scotland do they?

numpty3374 exactly, you're highlighting the Falkland Islands, Islas Malvinas is disputed territory. Two countries are claiming rights to it. Taiwan is another example of disputed territory.

The Uk is not in the EU anymore. The EU were in discussions with Argentina so they want to support Argentina. They're not exactly going to call the islands the Falklands when they're talking to the Argentinians. The EU wiull only call the islands the Falklands when they're talking to the British.

@Nickel1147 How do you work that out? The UK has an unelected Head of State. The Lords aren't elected by the people either. The MP's and Lords all swear an oath of allegiance to Charles, not to you or I.

@Nickel1147 The Argentinians have every right to claim land that is right on their doorstep is part of their country, especially when there's no other country near to the Malvinas than Argentina 👍
