Their leaders just cannot stand by the idea that one of the nations (Russia) has managed to escape their grasp. This is why they hate Putin so much. For a decade they have been trying to get a second chance at plundering Russia by destabilizing and braking it up. Ukraine is just a tool in their arsenal, this war was the logical outcome of what the USA and it's vassal states did. Putin, like him or not, has the duty to defend his people and the operation in Ukraine is part of that. I know perfectly well what game is played here!

  13. That is a bit like my dad, not politically engaged, always working to maximize HIS result. Trying to be amicable with everyone and avoiding to stand up and address injustice. Consequently the policies established during his era are financially sucking him empty now, even while all those working decades he was thinking he was building something up. Many of the boomers got FAR more out of society than they ever put in because they organized to rob the place. They could only do so because the other boomers were too busy making money and try to be every bodies friend to think outside their own bubble. But both these sub-groups had an extreme focus on "I" and the majority of the pain resulting from it is paid by other generations.

  26. I am happy for those in the USA, liberation after several generations of discrimination and abuse. Us in Europe are not this lucky, we are actually falling into stone-cold-fascism right now. With the amount of propaganda people here face every day I doubt this can be stopped by enlightened people. The corruption is everywhere, especially where power is concentrated.
