Exactly, the lower ranks should take the country back...in other words, do their real duty! The top brass looks totally compromised, working against their own country and oath.

@MWH12085 That is actually good point, something to consider. I think the outcome depends on how well a cleanup is supported. If a small group with a hidden agenda does it and simply takes the larger society for a ride, you end up with your mentioned outcome. But are a lot of Americans really against their own constitution and cultural values? I think not, I think the media has given a small bunch of hyper rich communist elites and a few whining suckers a megaphone to paint a picture of a truly divided country. So let me rephrase your observation here. We are currently already in the bad case scenario you are describing. A small group taking over country and military that stand in large part exactly for what the Bolsheviks stood for. That be, ultra wealth with no accountability for the top Bolsheviks and poverty or prison for everyone else. If I am even halfway right in all my views, then what is left of the argument not to take action?

And by definition those people are traitors themselves! They work for the enemy, not the country they took an oath for to serve!

@stefanyuwono1909 In an emergency situation you are absolutely right, in the heat of battle for example. But these are all low intensity, time diluted events. To then not be assertive and neglect the oath taken is treason in and of itself. I think protecting the constitution and defending from domestic and foreign enemies even supersedes blindly following the chain of command! It's at least written BEFORE it and in the same sentence!

@stefanyuwono1909 Even in a broader sense, an order is an order does not make sense. It makes the system fragile, unable to self-correct and inherently leads to terrible decision quality. I think it's mainly mental laziness that makes people adhere to the slogan. Yes it's just that, unless in a strict command hierarchy for pragmatic reasons, like in the military, it is just people pretending it applies to them as well. Your boss has a function and that function is NOT to micro-manage your work as if you are a puppet. If a boss treats me like a puppet, that boss is unsuited for the function and is neglecting duties, which is to optimize and support his workforce for best results. A power-tripping boss has to be removed, one way or another. Quitting is only a last resort IMO, like if the whole chain up is compromised as well. Then let them go bankrupt even faster by leaving. Which is happening in the USA right now I suppose.
