  1. One can hope, but it likely won't turn out that way. All it does is to make normal people loose their jobs and the people at the top and "marketing" really do not care one bit. They work with different "value metrics" that have nothing to do with running a profitable company by being productive and delivering a good service.

  2. Well, someone will get a promotion due to this capital blunder and it's likely the one making the blunder. In this day and age, being abysmal in every way is great, and being normal/good is bad/disgusting. The pollution in the human gene-pool tends to float to the top! Perfectly logical in a society under the control of that same garbage.
