  1. Those "new" KiB, MiB and GiB are an annoyance, just to have KB, MB and GB fall in line with the common words kilo, mega and giga used in other standards. But those other standards are based on base 10 numbering, while computers are not. They should NEVER have introduced those new fake SomethingBytes, let alone claim they are the true thing. They are not, they are fake!
