  1. That (how others outside of the families might react) can be managed. The main thing is the incredible cognitive dissonance they will suffer from. Their parents invested in delusion and sought incredibly narcissistic means and ends. It's sad. I hope they work that all out but I don't see how. I think that the people trying to normalize this as mere "choice" and "remedy for genetic mistakes" or something along those lines have a delusional view of modern medicine and all of human history. These norms are a combination of biological factors, and based on objective reality, or imposed socially, and based on choice. If they choose to mutilate themselves and "switch gender" those are choices. They can't spin this as merely reacting to something that is beyond their control. We shame men for taking extra hormones to perform well in sports but if women do it it's fine only when they tell certain stories? And men can take women's hormones because of these same kinds of stories? Political Correctness is a cult.

You're alluding to Political Correctness "norms" and your cult's view of "arc of history." Medical research and clinical data will increase and PC shaming probably won't cease dissipate, if that's what you mean.
