@Aechellies Communists don't always want to "invade" and occupy rivals. They want hegemonic control over all vital resources. This is a threat to Communism and the CCP as the so called "vanguard party" (global Communist lead party) if it helps India improve overall conditions in its own nation by managing its own resources and creates a model that blatantly goes against all Marxist doctrines and predictions for future political models (IOW, globally centralized Communist control over all political and economic decisions). Even with respect to Taiwan they do not care about invading and controlling Taiwan as occupiers. They want to threaten this catastrophe so that taking over the so called South China Sea (as they are right now) and pushing other nations out of their own fishing waters and so forth leave them in total control for oil and other mineral exploitation in what are not regarded as international waters seem like the "moderate" and "peaceful" solution to the problem that they started from the outset.
