What they can't do is take a copy of a classified document and then reclassify it for public dissemination after leaving office. Hence it is not illegal for him to hold classified documents in his post-presidential home. And even then if he chose to "leak" it as a "whistleblower" this is arguably also protected speech since many lower level officials have been protected for leaking "public interests" documents to the public in technical violation of the Espionage Act. The Presidential Records Act is enforceable only under Administrative law, and a lot of the statist interpretations of that legal framework are often ruled unconstitutional when challenged in Federal courts. That's why you leftists go totally insane when a non-Communist judge is placed and promoted. You obviously have no clue about how anything actually works. Neither does your President.

Education is learning to think and even learning to manage your own progress. Indoctrination is the imposition of rules (aka "doctrines"). Progs indoctrinate and even confuse students that employ critical thinking that runs afoul of Political Correctness. Political Correctness is a real thing and the overarching "rule" that shapes all discourses and materials selections in our schools. It comes explicitly from Marxist materialists that realized that they must begin a structured culture war because "bigots" (critical thinking theists) reject simplistic Marxist dogmas. Critical thinking is the process that humans employ to increase "intelligence" or vetted information.

And in court that language trumps all language that parses governing prerogatives. What that means is the 2A "trumps" all other "rights" and powers written in the US Constitution. "No rights are absolute" is a red herring and a straw man.

But the problem with this is that he has created his own little bubble of followers that don't expect critical thinking. They're looking for snark that they all agree with. So Maher has cultivated a fan base that seeks to be entertained by having its own biases confirmed with snark. This has gone on for decades and if Maher ever had any apt criticism of anything there was never any chance to have him debate anyone seriously. So the guy destroyed his own critical thinking skills a long time ago. This explains lots of actors as well but Maher takes himself seriously as some kind of Ubermensch critic. He acts EXACTLY like wokists but he thinks he's beyond them because he disagrees only with some of the details like "trans" and so forth. So he is smarter than the average wokist but he's just as dogmatic and I would even say a cultivated idiot. And comedy is all about exploiting tropes for entertainment. But Maher actually believes in these tropes. You can tell with this video that he's serious about all of the things he's ever said. Sane comics know that they're stretching or even rhetorically inverting reality for comic effect. Maher doesn't.

Pardoning someone controversial when you expect to run for office again leads to things like FBI raids and whatnot. He didn't act like a President that didn't expect to return.
