@megamus3 The Young Turks was a "progressive" political movement that started late in the Ottoman Empire's history before Germany persuaded it to attack the British during WWI. The Young Turks was ideologically similar to the French Jacobins before the Jacobins organized the "anarchists" that sparked the French Revolution. He's not an Islamist. He's just not that bright. And there are lots of Marxist professors in the US that pursue the same ideas, namely that "concentrations of wealth" are corrupting the US that would otherwise be a "workers' paradise".' The thing is that US Progressives are the ones that created the "New Deal" system of rent extraction with abusive taxes, massive Federal agencies, insane regulatory regimes that come from agreements with Communist regimes around the world, and the whole 9 years, so to speak. If US Progressives got their start by stating that they would "fight for the oppressed workers" by restoring Constitutional liberty of the past (pre FDR) then they would be MAGA. But almost all of them are indoctrinated idiots that are inculcated to think that by following leftist BS that they are "enlightened" or in today's parlance, "woke".

@swk38 Professional Journalism is a modern thing. The 2 kinds of "press" prior to that were blatantly political articles and supposed "religious" propaganda. Professional Journalism is very close to Social Sciences according to the (pseudo) Scientific BS Spectrum.
