  1. Lobbying is when you petition government officials. The idea is showing up at the Capitol (like the j6ers) and going through or hanging out in the "lobby" to knock on doors or see who is wondering around to discuss your problems with. Either elected officials are those designated to represent elected officials for that purpose. You don't lobby the Us Secretary of State. You don't lobby any of the Cabinet. Unless you're a double-dealing traitor. Nobody should be expected to "lobby" Elon Musk unless he runs for office.
