@shirleymckamey2426 I think crybabies cry over everything that triggers them. That's what I've heard.

@strategery101 The Italian Fascists were socialists that took their cues from Lenin's NEP. And even FDR borrowed quite a bit from the "democratic" nationalist socialists. Who cares about Nazi versus Fascist. There's no "scientific" definition for Fascist so if we go purely by self identity then let's apply that rule consistently. And the Marxists can no longer categorize the Japanese war effort from that period. There's an element of Marxist (historical materialism, materialistic determinism) and a legitimate fear of Russia and China that drove their war-making. Economically, they were already organized a lot like Italy and Germany under Fascism and Nazism. And natural resources under their sovereign control were limited in a way that terrified those that believe whether Marx was right or wrong taht all of these belligerent regimes around them were looking to dominate the world and kill off rivals.

@ Total True History, bro!

What really matters to you is nomenclature and symbols. The Nazis had different symbols and so forth but the Italian Fascists were the same kind of "nationalist socialists" that the Germans Nazis were. Their policies were only slightly different because they held colonies in Africa and were not that fearful about getting drained economically by French war reparations under the Treaty of Versailles.

@shelbysittig1047 Divided government is not supposed to be "of one (hive) mind".

@ No, he's "totally" literally correct. IOW, the literature records different names. The "Fascists" in Italy were still quite literally "nationalist socialists". The Nazis had different symbols whereas the Italians used a symbol from the Roman Centurion (IIRC) called the fasces. This symbol represented the authority of the Roman Centurion over the people sworn under pain of death to follow the Centurion's orders. So Hitler was even more "fascist" in behavior than Mussolini but employed "mysticism" in his symbology and some of his nonsensical rhetoric. You guys crack me up.

@berto2125 Nobody left Europe to avoid taxes. Are you high? The grievances of the Colonists eventually amounted to having to pay taxes shipped back to the UK and yet they were not allowed to send Parliament members. The whole thing about Parliament had its origins in the "allies" of the king (under Feudalism) asking to be consulted on matters of war and taxation. And the matter of war was important because usually the tax burden spiked in those cases. The colonists were subject to all of the same tax schemes but could not participate in the Parliamentary "consultations". And the revolution got organized long after Charles I was killed (by an army organized by Parliament to find the Kings army) for trying to dissolve Parliament while simultaneously ordering a new round (or rounds) of taxes to pay for war against France. Therefore Parliament was already superior to the will of the king by the time the colonists starting thinking about self rule and their grievances.

@yeost187 Bro failed at life.

@mountainmonk5874 Hilarious. No, I think it was obviously Margaret Thatcher that threatened us with nuclear annihilation if we didn't outlaw liquor and firearms. I remember reading that. She also was the first to censor Facebook. Churchill is still active on Facebook, Twitter and Truth Social. He's OK but maybe that's because he's half American.

@ FYI, you're an idiot. Try harder. My ancestors are mostly French, BTW. French politics have always been "bad". Same with Germany. So whatever "millions" say depends quite a bit on where you get your information and what it is that they said. Nobody can follow critical thinking norms and show how the French were ever the good guys in any international dispute. Put up or shut up.

@mountainmonk5874 Finish your own story.

@mountainmonk5874 You're incoherent.
1
@mountainmonk5874 Evidently you don't even know what incoherent means.

@atheos5748 Another way of putting it is that they were religious nonconformists. Not outcasts. They cast themselves out. There's no way of arguing that, assuming they lived to start a new life, that America was infinitely better in every way. Even "Progressives" admit that the old institutions are problematic with respect to "progress". You should look up what fanatic means because the ones that demanded strict conformity are the fanatics.

@secretsiren6769 So, actually, the Italians styled themselves as "Fascists" but both were "nationalist socialists" in terms of doctrines and strategies. So we can call the Axis powers "nationalist socialists" or "nazis" rather than calling them all Fascists. And what should be call Stalin's BFF, FDR? Who aped Mussolini for his unconstitutional New Deal?
1
@strfltcmnd.9925 Only nomenclature.
1
@SaanMigwell Lenin's NEP outlined Mussolini's ruling doctrines and the Germans and US Demon Rats followed along shortly after all of that.

Briefly, because they are all crybabies triggered by life itself and fearful. But they must put on a stoic face. So stoicism is demanded until they need performative tears to support their "Liberators of the Oppressed" stories. Holding back those tears of rage and then crying on cue takes a lot of "courage". Like the brave Sir Pacino.

Orwell ( a pen name). Was a British socialist who was terrified by socialist politicians. The only good guys in WWII were some Allied Generals and of course many of the soldiers that died following the Generals, both good and bad.

There was never a libertarian Germany. Ever. "Liberal" means promoting "liberty" from the "oppression of Capitalism". You can look that up and the actual word used by Critical Theory Marxists is "emancipation from...of...Capitalism". Critical Theory is about continuously added nuances and new categories to the grievances so that they can forever say that "you don't get it" but they don't either. That's why "trans gender" came out of nowhere but they protect it because they're easy to trigger in to carrying out acts of terrorism and they don't reproduce.
