@rachdarastrix5251 It's simpler than that. Manichean cults by definition have an us and a them where "the others" are guilty by identity or classification. The "us" group is therefore always innocent according to "Punching UP" AKA "Speaking Truth to Power" by dogmas and decrees. I laugh when I think about Marxists complaining about being investigated for joining the Communist Party and then trying to gain employment for in the US State Department and then crying out "guilty by association". There is such a thing as criminally guilty by association if you join a enemy's party and then falsely swear an oath to the US Constitution. It's sometimes charged as Treason. Case evidence matters but the investigation itself is not 'fascist persecution' or whatever.
