@paulburr5072 Some Internet startups came very close to it. But in the private sector, once they're fired, they have to go away. Unless they can sue The Patriarchy and so forth. These "Federal workers" think they are the nonworking shareholders. That's where the "entitlement" tropes come from. They have "human rights" and stuff.

@johnene It's beyond the normal "unionized workers" worldview. It's Utopian Communism in the Post Industrial AI New Green Democracy. This mentality really started to take hold under Clinton because of all the Utopian BS they were pitching about the Internet and "Nano Technology" and so forth. People understood as soon as a few companies made billions for their founders for doing almost nothing that the Age of Plenty described by FDR was clearly here and no more Cold War as an excuse to hold back Equity. But actually they all expected to work for a few months and then cash in their own stock options and live like Trump. Without any real work. Nobody would really have to work after Bill Clinton had his VP "invent the Internet". If the private sector no longer has to work obviously these bureaucrats could just sit there and have "the Internet" do all of that stuff. Federal employee unions have always been the worst of the worst. It should be illegal. They're paid Communist propagandists. Funded by US taxpayers.
