So, Shep is supposedly defending "rights" of "the competition" to act rudely in the "press" room while POTUS is hosting foreign leaders. OK. Do you suppose Shep will speak soon about Alex Jones getting kicked off of every major "social media" platform at the same time? Can you explain why Alex Jones has enforceable (Constitutional) rights that are being violated while the stupid media loudmouth can only appeal to "norms" but no enforceable legal rights? Do you understand the US Constitution even a little bit or do you rely on talking heads to feed you your talking points? The Internet itself is a "public space" and subject to some "equal access" (and Antitrust) law. Let's just see if Shep bloviates about Alex Jones.

You didn't even articulate a clear argument. Google and Facebook are regulated by the US government. They're allowed to monopolize those markets at this stage. The First Amendment itself guarantees freedom from government intervention unless warranted by clear need as identified through the generations by the courts (case law/precedents). The Fourteenth Amendment guarantees that the law protects everyone equally (under equal or similar conditions). Viewpoint discrimination is unlawful for the same reason that kicking out people from a restaurant based only on 'political (or racial, etc.) identity' is unlawful. Remedies for Google and Facebook violations could include court interventions to order equal access to 'press' services and/or Antitrust actions to break these companies up and keep them from unlawful collusion. A third possibility is to regulate them under FEC rule when they intervene by censoring anything construed as pertaining to political speech. Facebook and Google try to get around charges of viewpoint discrimination by claiming that they only enforce 'community standards' which is a lower burden derived from 'obscenity' standards case law. This is pure bullshit but clever nonetheless.

The reporter was kicked out for unruly behavior. Speech protections pertain to speech liberties or freedoms to do things, not freedoms to intervene and disrupt. You may speak and print, not barge in and take over and force your agenda on others. Alex Jones has been unlawfully attacked. The reporter that Shep is whining about has not. You're just dead wrong and apparently so ignorant that all you can do is repeat leftwing talking points as best you can understand them. Basically, Facebook, Google and others offer 'press' services to the public. They can not lawfully turn down political speech any more than a printer can refuse to print your lame socialist signs when you go on your ANTIFA outings. Creative services can be denied, public accommodations may not be.
