Jonathan Turley is counting on the fact that the Republicans have not yet PROVED every element, like maybe Obama ordered it (but then we'd have to see what Obama got out of it because it just makes the conspiracy bigger). They told the public that they wanted Ukraine to "investigate corporate/oligarch corruption" and Biden/Burisma was one of the targets for investigation! But if this was an ordinary DOJ investigation they'd already have enough evidence to open negotiations for a plea bargain. No sane person that understand the evidence in the public domain would assert that no crime has been committed. It's just that the controversy is so bad that it's worth doing a full investigation and informing the public before taking the next step. Just accepting Biden's resignation and then the next President pardoning him would be an unacceptable coverup. Pretending Biden did nothing wrong is what only a corrupt Communist could try.

Biden's entire Executive Branch is playing along and not cooperating. Those "whistleblowers" that got angry for Trump investigating Bidens and Burisma are nowhere to be found now that we have emails from the Hunter Biden laptop. The other scandal that people forget about is the classified documents that were "misplaced" but also housed recklessly just where Hunter could access them. And other documents were in an office funded by and shared with CCP agents. A Special Counsel could easily prove racketeering and treason. Turley is saying that, basically, after Nancy Pelosi and that wing of the criminal cabal destroyed all credibility with Congress that it would be better to restore faith in Congress by following a careful process so that the pubic can evaluate as much evidence as possible before throwing it out to vote on Articles of Impeachment. This is a fair comment because how often do we get angry at Congress for voting on bills taht we have no time to investigate? And it's not the voting public's fault that the US Demonrats have allowed Communists to control every big media and manufacturing enterprise that ever aspires to do business in China where they have already arbitraged labor and energy costs to make it almost impossible to compete against them?   25. Andrew McCarthy...he's a good prosecutor but extremely naive about how to fight Marxist liars that control the republic. The thing is that McCarthy supported Ted Cruz in 2016 and Ted Cruz was also my strong recommendation because I can do a rational A B comparison. McCarthy doesn't understand the value of having Trump being able to communicate his doctrines so that most people can understand them. And as Trump came under pressure he started to transition to the leaner policies promoted by Cruz (but nobody noticed, I guess). But my point is that Ted Cruz also moved towards Trump in terms of communicating in ways that the voters can understand. They actually make a very good team even if Cruz is still a Senator. Ted Cruz as Trump's US AG would be the answer to everyone's prayers if they're dreaming about a return to rule-of-law prosperity.

And therefore for an Impeachment. Delivering even more conclusive evidence will raise the standard to "beyond a reasonable doubt" even though that is not what is required for Impeachment. They produced way more evidence than necessary to get the judicial branch to sign off on any warrants and subpoenas. What Turley said is don't prejudge the evidence and that there IS enough evidence to get the judicial branch to support their subpoenas which is exactly what the Republican leaders said that they are doing.
