@gazac48 AMD fabricates the silicon ICs. Gigabyte I think still assembles in Taiwan. There are a few others. I check the label every time I buy.

@masonhunter2921 What are you blabbing about? The PC manufacturers are already starting to move production sites back to "democracies" thanks to the Trump tariffs. Trademarks have nothing to do with where products are manufactured. Trademarks effect commerce in terms of rights to use "brands" AKA "trademark(s)". It's a "marketing rights" issue that has nothing to do with labor.

@777Poker Samsung has quite a few phones that are not made in China. I believe some of the lower and even mid priced models might be made in China. The S series used to be regarded as "flag ship" and still have all of the top features but because they're also selling foldables and "Note" models and so forth with higher margins the S series are flag ship offerings at sharper prices. I believe LG once made some nice phones in Korea but those are no longer made at all. I'm hoping for better "open source" phones that you can buy and download all of the source code for. You have to keep following the serious tech news to stay ahead of the traps.
