This concept of a single standard for "international law" was fallaciously promoted by Marxists when trying to shame "Western democracies" for not meting out "equality" according to Utopian Marxist standards. An illegal war implies that it violated a treaty. But you're right that there are no wars that are strictly legal. If you go to the UN and ask for permission I guess that's as far as a "legal war" can go. But that's more like globalist consensus on multilateral state police action. Rule of law can only be meted out within a given standard. There's no real way to have "international rule of law" because there is no "supreme court of the global" with due process guarantees and whatnot. There's no objective judicial process in settled matters between one government sovereign and another nor when a government declares any foreign faction to be "illegal" or acting illegally. It makes no sense unless they cite a specific treaty violation. I do believe that Russia is violating UN treaties but if that's their theory they should just say so.

Iraq was caught supporting terrorists and did not cooperate with the investigations. The WMD story is a red herring and a straw man. They had WMDs. And that was not the declared casus belli. They just used dramatic stories to drum up support and that is always risky. The case history in Ukraine is entirely different and is not verified as you describe. If Ukraine is "guilty" then so is China. They're accused of having the same kinds of labs that China has in Wuhan and elsewhere.

Give me an example.

@garymanis6305 Even Tucker Carlson knows that this is hyperbolic rhetoric to show concern for trends. Biden is one of the top 3 tyrants. Trudeau is a tyrant that will face elections. Calling something tyrannical isn't even an argument that it's not "democratic" tyranny. Sometimes the masses get triggered and crave tyranny to assuage their fears of something they think is worse. Like a virus or carbon fuels or whatever. Implying that Zelensky is a tyrant is extremely weak. Most of these people have no idea what they're talking about. They're easily triggered ignoramuses and state propagandists from places that hold shady elections if they even hold them at all.

kraig amendt "You are lying." Quote the text of the alleged lie and the evidence that it is a lie. You have no idea what you're talking about but you're so confident that you do. People like you are sad.

@Personal info Did you? Did you find it difficult?

@Personal info I said that you are a stupid troll and you forgot already. LOL.

@kraigamendt9525 You're a total idiot. You don't even know how to explain your reasoning behind your claims. Also, you don't know what "racist" means. Obama published a book where he claimed that he got a scholarship under a foreign student program. He claimed to be Kenyan. His father was Kenyan. People questioned his birth because he didn't properly account for these apparent contradictions. He also went to school in Indonesia where he registered as an Indonesian by adoption. Now, with respect to US law that doesn't mean he wasn't a US citizen or even natural born (born in Hawaii to at least one citizen parent) but he acted like a troll by trying to bait people on this when they wanted to know why he had so may adversarial allies. And the real problem turned out to be his affinity for Iran and its desire to acuire nuclear warheads, ICBMs, and tons of cash to pay for even more terrorism. But this was all well hidden from the likes of you. Now, as far as your repetitive claims about my alleged lies and your alleged knowledge about something you verified as not existing your logic is even worse. It's not like Hillary's emails that we know where not secured properly because there are specific legal duties to do so and the entire audit trail was illegally destroyed. So it existed but she broke the Espionage Act by breach of specific sworn duties as Secretary of State. Contrast that with your claims about "WMDs" that everyone agrees existed. The debate was over what was the risk of leaving it unchecked. Similar to Hillary's emails. By the time we got to check the material was not located in the first place we looked. That doesn't mean it never existed. On the contrary there was material reported. It just didn't meet this BS standard of fitting Colin Powell's precise description as read in to the record at the UN. That's where these agitprop memes came from. With your claims you show that you not only don't even know how to construct a logical sentence to make your reasoning understood but you don't even know that you're supposed to explain the theory behind your claim at some point in the debate. You just say "they lied because I was there so I know about it!" LOL. You don't know anything of the topics that you ranted about. Not one thing.

@juanolivares1300 No, they are colluding. But they're frenemies.

@reasonithinkfora2874 The Communists don't realize that we don't want the to take Taiwan because it would be bad for everyone. Including the Communists. They're materialists that think they need to control "precious resources". They need to arbitrage everything so that they can undersell everyone else until everyone else stops producing stuff. If China acts militarily against Taiwan or anyone else that will be its end. People are fed up because of their dodgy role in the Covid epoch. Just one more reason is all American voters need to totally scrap this climate change bias and restore US manufacturing (although nothing wrong with have reliable trade partners). Ukraine is the end of Putin's credibility. But he thinks it puts him in better position to "grow" by cornering energy markets. China wants Taiwan to inherit control of all of that manufacturing plus a better "common sense" argument for expanding mining and fishing in what everyone else considers international waters (not to mention encroaching on sovereign territories of some of their neighbors).

@lakecountynaturalist7617 These people are so clueless on how dependent these Communists are in getting "democracies" to keep buying their junk and selling discounted precious metals and fossil fuels.

@kraigamendt9525 Do you even know what propaganda means, braindead propagandist?
1
@kraigamendt9525 That's Russian and Iranian propaganda, you absurd dope.
1
@toffanful There is no such treaty. This was a Presidential "diplomatic communication" that has no force of law. The fact is that the USA has important economic and military relationships with Taiwan. It receives de facto recognition with every relevant transaction. Don't be an absurd propagandist unless you have a paid contract requiring it. Jimmy Carter is a blithering idiot surpassed only by Biden.
1
@misterhill5598 Not a treaty. Same effect as letter of intent. Join us in the real world.

@garymanis6305 Putin is afraid of the CCP, not NATO. They need to expand their hegemonic influence before China overtakes them in the same game that only Communists play.

@shawnxl2419 Tucker Carlson is hyperbolic at times. The US is also tyrannical in the sense that the Executive Branch has gradually taken more power each generation since FDR's New Deal. Yet the US Constitution has not changed and as long as the people can change leaders through elections it's not tyrannical in that sense. Other than their style in shutting down economic activity according to the Communist Chinese Party's agenda. It's a criticism that can be applied in many so-called liberal democracies because academic "liberalism" produces moronic voters. And I like Tucker Carlson for what he is but he isn't a genius.
