Some unions are simply agents of the Communist revolution. Based on the theory of "speaking truth to power" (just be claiming it) they are representing their workers and taking bribes from "Capitalists" all over the place while supporting the "Progressive" Marxist parties. It's a scam more often than not. The really sincere unions are few and far between. You can tell which ones care by how many lawyers they have running their offices. The first colleges taken over by the Marxists were the law schools. It's useful for defense lawyers (hence the now ubiquitous "blame society" defense gambits) and slowly got legitimized for judges (especially under FDR) and now even blatantly Marxist prosecutors that are the first ones to blame society for rioters and organized crime that seems to support the "revolution".
