  1. Very few people have incentives or inclination to "work more" when unsupervised. Even in the office the focus of most people is putting on a virtue-signaling puppet show. I'm sorry, that's how it is. Especially when you have a core group of engineers (or even serious accountants) surrounded by "support staff" selected by SJW Human Resources kooks. This contradicts my own experiences as a student and working with my father. But as soon as organizations start getting bigger and sectioned off from people that simply can't afford to waste time, you get the SJWs and SJW "labor" organizers.
