  2. It's irrelevant who makes your clothing. You should care who makes your steel, your weapons, your semiconductors, advanced chips, etc. etc. etc.

  3. Corporations have duties to their shareholders. If ABC or ACME corp can make more profit by following US law and moving their production overseas. And they refuse, they can be sued by shareholders. Foreigners can sue US corporations if they own stock. You can literally have a case where a Chinese national can sue a US corporation for refusing to relocate a plant to to China. These disputes are usually resolved without going to court.
