Sadly, the open canon for Islam creates a lot of problems when certain schools promote certain doctrines. Some schools allow more personal judgment than others. Nonetheless, any angry Muslim can find hadith to justify murder. That's why it's important for all nations to develop reliable rule of law. The Bible can not be used to justify murder or violence in the name of promoting Jesus. It just can not. Only be reinventing the mission of the Hebrews and asking Christians to fight the Amalekites or something like that can the Bible be used to foment violence. You see how often it works. It just doesn't. Christianity is more reliable because the canon is considered closed by most Christians and those that believe in an open canon rely on the magisterium in Rome. In Islam you have the ulemah that each have their own way of citing traditions and texts that can be all over the place so these wild and violent doctrines can catch fire more easily.
