The issue is that there is a criminal cabal that has slowly taken over the US DOJ partly because Bill Clinton made it clear to all of his appointees that he expected Hillary to take the White House for the third and fourth "Billary" terms. Right now they successfully jammed up and got rid of Trump as proof that nobody can defy them. If Trump, with his proven track record and proof of this criminality at the DOJ wins this will prove that the criminal cult in the DOJ can't win and furthermore must now answer to Trump who will now be in possession of enough proof to prosecute many and fire any at his pleasure. It's not about DeSantis right now. DeSantis is just being used. His time will come but it hasn't arrived yet. If he helps take out Trump they will immediately put DeSantis through the same program, unpunished and beyond the reach of the written law.
