  2.  @pmlm1571  Middle class is an answer to the Marxist 2-class "class war" paradigm. Almost everyone is middle class. The oppressed class are either destitute or "wage slaves" and "The Rich" are "Capitalist wage thieves". Except under the Marxist worldview the USA has no distinct social classes. In Europe you had monarchy and courtiers, you had professional clergy and you had landed gentry. The middle class is simply a response to point out the reality that most modern "democracies" have "middle class" people who might want to have more money but are not starving and have opportunities to earn wages and accumulate capital/wealth. If class in this case stands for lessons learned while growing up then Harris indeed has no class. She really does remind me of those Oakland/Berkeley denizens that complained all day and drank and smoked pot at every chance. You guys really, really do not know what it means to verify that she went to parties with Willie Brown while Brown's wife was left stewing at home. SF politics and culture was birthed from the "Summer of Love" and "Harvey Milk" legends. Everything after that seems tame by comparison in the movies but it's just become more and more unhinged and this decay is as predictable as radioactive rocks. And just as toxic.
