  1. Unconditional love does not exist since a relationship is always based on value exchange (atleast mutual). In the old days it was the man providing for the family and the wife caring for the household and mainly raising the kids (especially when they are very young). I recommend you to watch e.g. the Fresh and fit podcast or other redpill content to get onto a successful track when it comes to dating and relationships.

  2. @ I don’t think the reason is our materialistic thinking or nature. It is based on the difference in genders. Men and women both complement each other. It makes sense to build a relationship on this role model so both get the benefits of the other gender. It’s a win-win. Otherwise why would you want to have a romantic relationship at all? I doubt that anyone would agree a platonic friendship is a perfect substitution for a romantic relationship.
