@corceles yeah for sure. I'm almost there. I do weekend shifts, 12 hours saturday and sunday and my week is done and thank god and I earn as much as my co-workers that work monday to friday! I work to live I don't live to work! you like a 9 to 5, monday to friday having to deal with the same people every goddam day type of job sure go ahead. Life is only one and it's meant to be enjoyed, I don't want to spend most of my life locked up till I get old.

@corceles that's the real question bro. Will we survive this ir not? I'm optimistic. In the end we all want the same thing. Have a good life and take care of our family and be with our loved ones. Since the beginning of the industrial age we all sacrificed our lives and became wage slaves in the pursuit of money and materialism. Some people like it, some people don't and some people like me can't stand it anymore. I always tried during the course of my life to be free from this system as much as I can.

@commenteroftruth9790 yeah bro I do 24hours weekly, 2 days 12hour shift, saturday and monday, and my week is done. My co-workers that work during the week have a slightly higher shift bonus but it's like 100€ more than mine but the base salary is the same. That way I can stay at home during the week doing whatever I want. Some people can't handle staying at home this many days but as an introvert this is almost perfect for me.

@commenteroftruth9790 yup. it's called the weekend shift. It's great because it allows me to do whatever I want during the week and still earn as much as if I was working the entire week.

@commenteroftruth9790 I work at a ceramic tiles factory. That factory works 24/7 so they implemented the weekend shift so people could enjoy the weekends with their families. Not all factories do this but some do. And the best part is when we go on vacation I enjoy 2 more weeks than the rest because the factory closes at a friday but I'm off duty since the previous sunday, and when the factory opens again it opens on a monday but I only go to work the next saturday. Like these christmas vacations started at the 21th of december on a friday and will end in january 6th on a monday but for me, I started my vacation at december 15th and will get back to work at january 11th. Almost a full month just for christmas. If they call me to work during the week then I get paid as if I was working extra hours and that pays on the double, it's rare but sometimes I have to go when a co-worker gets sick or something. During the week I have plenty of time to go to the gym, walk my dogs take care of my stuff and at the end of the month I get a 1200€ pay check, more than enough to have a decent life where I live. And I always can apply for a part time job during the week if I want to make more money but I don't need more than I already have. Life isn't just about making money and working. Couldn't ask for better.

@corceles You can't imagine? I honestly don't know where's the challenge in imagining something as that. I'm not talking about renting AI to do the work for you. I'm talking about when we get to a point in time where Ai robots will become a product that every consumer has the opportunity to buy. When that happens we all get universal income and AI will do the heavy lifting for you and all of us or do you think the elites will be able to contain this technology just for them? Sooner or later Ai will become democratized as any other technology invented by humans. And then people will be able to do whatever they want with it. You want a house maid? Go buy one. You want a robot that goes to work for you? Sure! Go buy one!
