Comments by "Mel" (@Mel-wn9gb) on "Does Feminism Include Trans Women? Female Feminists vs Antifeminists | Middle Ground" video.
Their dysphoria is their responsibility to manage, like all other people with a mental illness are responsible for their own mental health. We're not saying they don't look female enough. We're saying they're not female, hence not women. Women and girl's rights should not be violated just because these men have a mental illness. We don't owe them that. Unnacceptable.

Brain plasticity proves the exact opposite. There's no distinct male or female brain in terms of who we are as people. Our brains respond to learning and socialization, which in terms of 'gender' begins at birth. Science is not anywhere near clear on the existence of an innate 'gender identity' that somehow 'matches' or 'mismatches' our sex. The very concept is literal sex stereotyping, which is ideology, not science. And it's certainly not feminism.

The ideology of 'gender' is diametrically opposed to feminism, so no 'transwomen' are not feminist and set feminism and the rights of girls and women back. I suspect that's the entire point.

No they're male, hence men.

Feminism and genderism are literal opposites. You can't support the concepts of 'gender', 'cis' and 'trans' and call yourself a feminist. It's sexist, misogynistic, homophobic patriarchal ideology, not feminism. People have lost the ability to think critically. Too much Tik Tok.

No, her issue is with men, including 'transwomen'. You all need to stop gaslighting women and insulting our intelligence.

Alexa doesn't even know what a feminist is, let alone a woman.

Feminists have spent centuries fighting the very concept of 'gender'. Just as they were getting somewhere 'transwomen', ie. men, brought it back big time. 'Trans' activism is diametrically opposed to feminism. It's not a coincidence that it's girls and women who are most effected by these ideas. 'Trans' is a patriarchal backlash to feminism and women and girl's progress. It's laughable to call it feminism.

@sicilyperez6211 Take your own advice, because gender dysphoria is in the handbook of mental illnesses, and believing you're something that you're not would fall under delusion.
1
The answer is no because 'transgenderism' is the literal opposite of feminism. That's precisely why it violates girl's and women's lives and rights in particular. That's not a coincidence.

Who's 'us'?

@beepboop030 Arielle is a lesbian. The lesbians who don't date transwomen because they're men are lesbians. You're no lesbian if you think lesbian women should or do date men. 🙄

Yeah, the irony.

The concept of 'cis' snd 'trans' is antithetical to feminism, so no 'transwomen' can't be and aren't feminists, any.more than they're women. They're patriarchy in action.
1
It's impossible for a 'transwoman' or anyone who supports them to be a feminist. Feminism is the literal opposite of 'transgenderism'. That's precisely why it's largely effecting the human rights of women and girls. That's not a coincidence.

Yes, 'gender' is a conservative fundie belief system, like any other conservative, fundie belief system.

@dl3472 Fundamentalist.

@Freemanjacobt They don't teach neuroscience in the first or any year of psychology. That might explain why you don't understand what brain plasticity is and that it demonstrates the exact opposite of what you just claimed. And what you just claimed is based on cherry-picking studies, that ironically the researchers themselves say are not conclusive, and which neuroscience itself, along with other studies, contradict. There's nothing in a man's brain that somehow makes him a woman, let alone his body. Transwomen are just deluded men. Your field of study is letting them down by indulging their delusions instead of treating them.
