  19. Banning hard drugs as legal substances did nothing to stop the spread of said drugs. Those seeking said drugs WILL find them somewhere. Typically in a back alley or dirty street corner. But they WILL find what they want to get. Who is it that the hard drug laws typically serve to keep away from drugs? Those who don't want drugs or prefer to follow the law. Gun bans and law will be no different at all. There is no reason for it to be any different.

  20. That's trauma for you. People who've been in bad car accidents tend to be terrified to get in a car again unless they get the help they need to become comfortable with it. Heck, it took me a few weeks after my bro in law nearly died by a drunk driver, to snap out of thinking I'd be next for some reason. Trauma makes you do and think dumb irrational things, but out of a deep need to shield yourself from that trauma, you do and say dumb things. in this case, she's so terrified of dying by gun, that she admittedly would simply allow her whole family to die by gun rather than protect the family with one. That is as irrational a fear as one can have.

Her position is rooted in the idea that you either agree with her or you are "toxic". There is no in between for her. There is no position one can hold where they have genuine questions about it, with no disrespect. There is no position in her mind where one can respectfully disagree, not use said pronoun, and still be a good person. As a white dude, all I heard from the lady in the video was "Despite my own success, and without any proof that my skin color has been detrimental to me at all along the way, I'm gonna choose to believe it has been." She is purposely choosing to put her foot in a bear trap and then complain she's in a bear trap. The loan thing is a perfect example of it. It very well could have been 100 other perfectly acceptable reasons for being denied, but because she SEES the entire world through the lens of race...every mishap in her life MUST be due to it. Her loan denial, being cut off in traffic, tripping over her shoe laces, etc. With that mindset, I can absolutely see why she finds racism everywhere. It's all she sees anyway.

But reality, the reality this girl is desperate to ignore, is that evil exists. You can wish all day long that guns didn't exist, but they do. As long as there are humans, there will be evil. Plain and simple.
