  1. Very dangerous ploy by the Russians Taking out Fylingdales would be a dangerous move as it is a natural first step in a planned attack on the USA. The UK would respond in kind, in fact with only one or two SSBN's available, it would likely send a whole boatload of ICBM's in response.
