  9.  @delawarecop  Why do you assume people would be unwilling to live near a nuclear reactor or to have waste in (or under) their land?

  10.  @delawarecop  Are you paying anything if you are completely off grid? Or maybe you benefit from the power used to clean and pump your water? To make the car you drive? Or any other service you use that needs electricity. Why would you want to place any industrial facility next to a beauty spot or heritage site? As for the waste, reprocess it until it is all fission products/stable elements and drop it into a borehole. Job done.
