@Angry.General1461 We have armed police when we need them. Military stocks do appear to have been allowed to drop too low though if rumours are correct.

@bogeyonanostrilhair9568 Unfortunately I can no longer see your original comment for context, though I fear that we may be arguing through a misinterpretation of each others points. I am British and fully understand how the British economy was transformed during the war - my parents lived through it. Perhaps the most impressive statistic of all is the quantity of goods the country was able to supply to Russia, whilst at the same time fighting for its own survival. Interesting fact, rationing was actually more severe in the years immediately following the war than during it for some goods. My response you your original post was aimed more at the Britain of today. I doubt very much that 2022 Britain has the capacity to transform itself into a war economy in the way that it did in the 1930/40's.

Spot on. If the UK does nothing else it should increase our ammunition and supply stocks. A few more fighter pilots wouldn't go amiss either.
