@salliemedia Trouble was, they yomped from San Carlos to the battlefield and fought to an extent with what they could carry. Most of the helo's that would have brought more ammo forward were lost with the sinking of the Atlantic conveyor.

@jordansmith4040 The use of injection moulding assumes that they are using a thermoplastic polymer. My first instinct would be that a thermoplastic would be a bad choice to contain hot, pressurised gasses.

@Element905 You clearly know nothing about British soldiers. If a piece of kit is crap they will soon let you know in no uncertain terms, whatever it's origin.

MP5SD, my weapon of choice for the zombie apocalypse 😉

In the Zombie apocalypse I would go for an MP5SD; if you have to shoot, do it as quietly as possible.

@dsd333d All supressed weapons work more effectively with sub sonic ammo; with the possible exception of the Welrod and it's mate, who were only ever intended to be used for a few rounds.

Your reason for dismissing the MP5 (poor performance vs body armour) completely misses the point. In a hostage situation you don't want a round that can defeat body armour unless you know that the bad guys are wearing it. Even then it may not be the best option. A full up 5.56 at close range will penetrate (some) body armour, but it can also pass through an unarmoured body. While a 9mm will just about penetrate a breeze block wall a 5.56 will do so with ease. TLDR in close quarters within a building, you have more chance of accidentally killing hostages with a 5.56mm round than you do with a 9mm low velocity round.
