They would be dead before they removed any material

There already is a viable solution, deep burial.

I think you need to re-read your notes.

@BananenBoerBob There was a natural reactor formed within a groundwater stream in the Belgian Congo. The reactor waste products are still localised millions of years later.

You wouldn't if they told you it was radioactive and had to be stored as low level radioactive waste.

Bit hard to achieve if the reactor is buried.

Everything produces waste. The rare earth mines generate radioactive tailings when they extract the neodymium for wind turbine motors.

@nersesgrigoryan1988 Depends how well it is controlled. Fission waste is extremely hazardous but not harmful as people are not exposed to it. Radium from coal burning is free to enter the atmosphere and mine tailings frequently enter water courses.

@jackfanning7952 Only if you use the purex process to produce solid fuel. Much easier once you move to liquid fuel.

@jackfanning7952 The US, UK, France, Russia and China all have stockpiles of radioactive waste and unwanted weapons grade plutonium. Do you suggest leaving it where it is? Burying it? Or using it as fuel to produce clean energy?

@jackfanning7952 Keep reading the "green" propaganda. We used to dump effluent from houses into the streets. Factory waste was pumped into rivers or left in open piles. Times change.

Make it comprehensive and most Youtubers would complain it was too long.
