  2. Very true since we are probably moving into a world now in which the other "Eurasian civilisations" like the Islamic World, China and India are catching up with the West. Not to mention that Europe would have to come up with an effective long-term solution to deal with the demographic behemoth that is Africa. In my opinion, Africa is a "wildcard" that could either disappoint or impress when it comes to geopolitics and the future of humanity in general.

  4. I find the idea that new religions / ideologies could appear in the future fascinating. Maybe a new ideology could be something like "Developmentalism" - an ideology which focuses primarily only on the economic development of a country, region or continent to transform it into a "first world" high income area or place to live in.

  21. What If the Mongols successfully invaded Africa? I think they would only reach as far Egypt or Libya since I think the mongols would be overstretched at that point. So a mongol Khanate might emerge in Libya and Egypt let's call it the "Nile Khanate".
