What about the USA helping out Latin American countries (since Latin America is the USA's backyard) to become more democratic, industrialised and wealthier (hopefully before* their demographic situations start to look like Europe's) especially in regards to countries like Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Bolivia, etc.... so that they would be key/actual allies in a potential military confrontation between the USA and Russia/China.
