Diving in 80+ meters of water for the length of time needed dig trenches and plant explosives requires specialized equipment, gases, training, and a decompression chamber. Who are they trying to fool with this story? 😂🤣😂🤣

@timkelly5602 If you want more conformation download the U.S. Navy Diving Manual and start reading about the requirements for diving at that depth. They pretty much line up perfectly with Hersh's description of events.

@AbdulRauf-cq3fv That's the normal depth, however around Bornholm island it's more shallow. It's the reason why they picked that spot.

@robincray116 It's 80 meters deep around Bornholm Island. Every 10 meters in depth is equal to one atmospheric pressure at sea level (1 Bar or 14.7 PSI). At 80 meters that's 8 bar or 117.6 PSI. At that depth you need specialized equipment, exotic gases, and a decompression chamber. Even if it was 60 meters that's still beyond the limit of SCUBA, so the previous still applies. All of this can easily be verified in the U.S. Navy Diving Manual.

@robincray116 Outliers do not count. If you want to argue then I suggest you argue with the U.S Navy Diving Manual since you seem to be an expert on the subject...🤣😂🤣😂

@robincray116 In a close-circuit mixed gas UBA for a depth of 260 FSW and a bottom time of just 30 minutes it would take 32 minutes to descend and 383 minutes to ascend, which is 6 hour and 23 minute, plus the thermal considerations regarding the temperature at that depth have to be addressed. It would be physically impossible for divers to travel and secure thousands of pounds of explosives in the amount of time required to conclude such an operation without the use of a decompression chamber and other specialized equipment. I know those straws have to be grasped, but you have to frame the argument within the parameters of reality...🤣😂🤣😂

@robincray116 Also the U.S Navy Diving Manual is pretty much the bible of the diving community, so unless you have vast years of diving experience at various depths with multiple certifications I wouldn't listen to any advice you may have on the subject simply because I don't want to get myself killed...🤣😂🤣😂

@robincray116 "Cave divers have operated in excess of 10 hours underwater with the right equipment" - This does not address the descend, bottom, and ascend time needed. "Rebreather closed circuit systems that use soda lime to scrub C02..." - A non-mixed UBA would have an even longer ascend time, therefore this is irrelevant. "Water temperature doesn't change with water depth..." - I stated thermal considerations have to be addressed. I did not claim "at that depth water is cold".
