  1.  @Verziroo  More fantasy of the invincibility of the US. China already fought the US to a draw with Mao's peasant army during the Korean war, and that was arguably when the US was much stronger as a military power. China basically owns the first island chain with its missile capability, both conventional and hyper-sonic. US naval forces wouldn't even reach pre-positioning to attack the mainland and would be immediately destroyed. The only saving grace for the US is their submarine capability, but China has been extremely busy in developing counter measures against these assets. Do you honestly think the USS Connecticut struck some "mountain" in the South China Sea? Remember that war is about logistics, so the ideal the US is going to dominate 10,000 miles from their shores against an industrial powerhouse the world have never seen before is laughable. Some fair-weather alliances are not going to come to the rescue of the US once the shooting starts, it's pretty much guaranteed. Why do you even post this stuff when even the Pentagon has war-gamed the scenarios and determined in each and every one the US is defeated?

  4.  @alecfoster5542  Japan wouldn't come to defense of the ROC, you just pulled that out of your backside. Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution specifically prohibits offensive military operations. Japan recognizes the One China policy, therefore it would be an offensive operation against China. Why do you people keep lying by promoting these fantasies?

  5.  @litesp  You're absolutely correct. Once those warships and carriers are destroyed the only escalation option available for the US is nuclear, which means "game over" for everyone. Remember when there's an ICBM launch everyone launches their missiles because nobody knows who the target is and you can't wait until it's determined because it would be too late to retaliate. Now you know why it's called MAD.
