@michaelkatz275 Because of the depth a gas mixture of oxygen and helium is needed. With an open-circuit UBA for a bottom time of 30 minutes requires an ascend time of about 400 minutes due to all the decompression stops that need to be made. Even with a mixed-gas closed-circuit UBA you still need an ascend time of about 300 minutes depending on the equipment type. It would take multiple dives over the course of about two weeks in the middle of a no anchor zone. This would definitely draw the attention of the local maritime authority.

There was a US P8 that was loitering in the area prior to the explosion, which has been documented with the Monkey Werx video. So Hersh may have gotten the nationality of the plane wrong, but the mechanics of the operation to drop the sonar buoy are still in line with his reporting.

@oddvardmyrnes9040 The P8 crossed the pipeline prior to the explosion, refueled over Germany, and then arrived at the actual site after the explosion. I suggest that you review the video again.

@oddvardmyrnes9040 We also have the video of the letter sent to John Mark Dougan back in October of last year, which adds more credibility to Hersh's article. I don't disagree that there may be inconsistencies within the article, however coupled with additional information it presents an accurate portrayal of events.

@oddvardmyrnes9040 Dougan knows the name of the source, but will not reveal to protect. It does dovetail with Hersh's article and lends credibility. Nobody is going to reveal themselves for something of this magnitude, that's never going to happen.
