It's called economic value added (EVA). US derives way more EVA than China and for those items that cannot be substituted the loss to the US will be astronomical...š¤£

Declaration of war? It's a declaration of helplessness since the US knows it can't do a damn thing to change China's trajectory...:text-green-game-over:

Ā @FrostRareĀ "The USā blatant imposition of tariffs as high as 104 per cent on Chinese goods is nothing short of naked intimidation and blackmail, which the Chinese side firmly rejects. Such actions by the US will never āmake America great againā; instead, they have made America a barbarian of the 21st century." Huang Jingrui, spokesperson, Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong

Ā @FrostRareĀ In the first paragraph of the letter it states clearly "I would like to reiterate the solemn position of the Chinese government." I know it's difficult to admit you are wrong, but it's public record. Personal incredulity doesn't change these facts.

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain...š¤£

Trump and his cabal of flying monkeys want to get a Plaza Accord 2.0, but China is not Japan. The US needs to learn the "Century of Humiliation" is over, get used to it...š¤£

Ā @FrostRareĀ It's from an opinion letter published in the South China Morning Post.

Ā @FrostRareĀ There are four letters published on the page and Huang Jingrui's letter is the first one. Once again personal incredulity doesn't change these facts.

āĀ @FrostRareĀ This is an opinion letter written by Huang Jingrui, spokesperson for the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong, so it's the original source. We all know that spokespeople for China's MOFA are well disciplined, therefore without a shadow of a doubt the word "barbarian" was used as intended. Why are you arguing with something that's as clear as day? You're just making a fool of yourself with this nonsense.
