@Sean-giang Taiwan was annexed in 1683 by the Qing dynasty. The island was ceded to Japan in 1895 and return to China under the Potsdam Agreement, which included the terms of the Cairo Declaration, in 1945. Both the PRC and the ROC regard the agreement as legally binding under the terms of Japan's surrender. On what planet does a county who occupied the territory for 50 years have more rights than one that occupied the territory for 212 years?

@Sean-giang Please show me the seat at the UN proving that Taiwan is a separate country. We're waiting...

@Sean-giang "I feel the pride of being a Chinese everywhere, the Five-starred Red Flag is respected worldwide." - Jackie Chan - Hong Kong martial artist, actor, film director, producer, stuntman, and singer

@ScoobieDoo-zy1rh WW3 ends with a nuclear exchange, which the US and China can't survive since both don't have an anti-missile defense capable of defeating ICBMs.
1
@Sean-giang The Cairo Declaration clearly states "all the territories Japan has stolen from the Chinese". The Republic of China is no longer a country since they lost their seat at the United Nations in 1971 under resolution 2758. Since the People's Republic of China is the successive government of the Chinese people they have a right to this territory, unless you believe that some Chinese are more equal that others.
1
@Sean-giang So I guess you can't answer my question about the UN seat? Also strawman arguments aren't going work on me. Thank you for playing, please try again.
1
@Sean-giang Palestine and Kosovo are disputed territories and are not formally recognized states. Just ask Israel and Serbia.
1
@Sean-giang Except the DPRK and the ROK both have a seat at the UN, so they are different.
1
@Sean-giang A disputed territory and governance are two separate things, unless you want to start recognizing all the autonomous regions in the world as separate states. Maybe we should start with Catalonia?
1
@Sean-giang Kim Jong Un recently declared the DPRK is no longer seeking unification with the ROK, therefore the situation is not the same. You've got to keep up with the news you know.
1
@Sean-giang Who cares what other Arab countries say? Other than Ansarallah they aren't doing squat to stop the massacre in Gaza.
1
@Sean-giang Strawman arguments don't work. How may times do I have to repeat this?
1
@Sean-giang Two Koreas, two seats at the UN. One China, one seat at the UN. Pretty easy logic to follow, even for you.
1
@Sean-giang Once again please show me the seat at the UN proving that Taiwan is a separate country.
1
@Sean-giang It's because Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States, just like Taiwan is a territory of China. See how that works.
1
@Sean-giang Taiwan born residents are citizens of the PRC. Didn't you know that? No special requirements to travel, work, or live on the mainland. So if citizenship is the determining factor then using your logic Taiwanese are Chinese.
1
@Sean-giang Taxation and citizenship are two separate things, you should know that. Repeat after me, strawman arguments don't work.
1
@Sean-giang They're not foreign, they're Chinese. Have you not been paying attention?
1
@Sean-giang "People on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are Chinese people, and are both descendants of the Yan and Yellow Emperors." - Former Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou comments while visiting the burial site of Sun Yat-sen in Nanjing
1
@Sean-giang Strawman arguments don't work. How may times do I have to repeat this?
1
@Sean-giang Because politicians don't lie when running for office, right?
1
@Sean-giang I didn't recognize him as president, that's what he calls himself. Sort of like you calling yourself an intelligent person.
1
@Sean-giang Not as lame as arguing with some stranger on Youtube by posting an endless stream of nonsense and logical fallacies.
1
@Sean-giang I see that you didn't read my previous reply, especially the calling yourself intelligent part.
1
@Sean-giang I see that we're down to monosyllabic replies. Truth hurts, doesn't it?
1
@Sean-giang Who's this "we"? You speak French? There's more than one of you at that call center in Mumbai that smells like bad curry?
1
@Sean-giang You're getting pummeled in the comment section and you can't even come up with an original retort? Now you're dancing around like you've won the Olympics because someone's name had the word president in front of it. You need to take a long look in the mirror and see where you've screwed up in life to come to this point.
1
@Sean-giang I don't work in India, but unlike you I do work instead of collecting welfare. Just like Stewart Smalley keep saying that in the mirror and maybe one day it will come true. Just kidding, it won't come true no matter how many times you say it.
1
@Sean-giang Sorry, not into grandpa love. That may be your thing, but it's definitely not mine.
1
@Sean-giang “What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.” - William Shakespeare - Romeo and Juliet
1
@Sean-giang That smell isn't too sweet, it's kind of stale like rotten fish. Once again please show me the seat at the UN proving that Taiwan is a separate country.
1
@Sean-giang How would you know unless you've been their first? Didn't know you were into grandma love.
