This is the latest engine available from Safran and outperforms the LEAP-1B. Claiming Pratt and Whitney is "superior" only proves that you're just a fanboi. According to actually people in the industry both have their strengths and weaknesses. 2) "Yes, the Leap is AVAILABLE on the Max - but as an option for buyers." - LEAP-1B is the ONLY OPTION for the 737 Max, there's no other engine available. You don't even have the decency to admit you're wrong when it's obvious. It's like arguing with a child...🤣

LEAP-1B is the exclusive engine for the Max 737 while the LEAP-1C is the exclusive engine for the C919. It's the LEAP engine mostly due to reliability issues with the GTF. That makes three times you've been proven wrong...🤣

  14. It's the lack of infrastructure and the ICE ecosystem that dominates the economy. All those gas stations, mechanics, replacement parts, oil changes, etc... become dinosaurs with widespread EV use. China is roughly the same size as the United States plus the majority of the population doesn't drive long distances, only short commuting. The issue is mute anyway because there are EVs on the market right now that can do 1,000 km on a single charge with more on the way.

  23. US new car market is stagnant while the Chinese market is still growing at 10-15% per year. Lots of untapped potential buyers in China plus if you add exporting to the rest of the world all of a sudden that US market doesn't look so appealing anymore...🤣

However it was advances in battery technology that promoted the resurgence of EVs, and the Chinese dominate that entire supply chain. If they didn't I believe EVs would have been crushed for at least another 20 years.

Reason is because the domestic producer can make short term profits without the cost of ramping up production to meet demand. Tariffs and quotas are usually short lived, so any capital expenditure for increased production is at risk. The end result is a gain for the government, a gain for domestic producers, a loss in consumption, and a loss for consumers. International Economics 101.

  47.  @fangzification  The ICE ecosystem is going the way of the Dodo bird, it's inevitable. Having the technology and processing knowledge imported from China is the best option versus attempting to re-create this domestically, which is prohibitively expense and doomed to fail. I'm sure ferriers and wainwrights felt the same way in the late 1800s, but eventually they were replaced with others in the ICE ecosystem.
