Comments by "DailyBeatings" (@DailyBeatings) on "China's COMAC will be bigger than Boeing and Airbus, combined, by 2040." video.
China already has the Shenyang WS-20 and the CJ-1000A is in late stage developement with a certification target of 2025. These are facts that can be easily verified...😎

@scopscorpion China going the LEAP route allows for maintenance technicians to work on their aircraft without re-certification. You also have the spare parts question since another supply chain doesn't need to be duplicated when you have a new engine.

@TheGreatAmphibian According to Safran the C919 uses the Leap-1C, which is their latest engine. It also outperforms the Leap-1B, which is available on the Boeing 737 Max. Once again facts that can be easily verified...🤣

@TheGreatAmphibian LOL!!! You're citing a report that is 7 years old...🤣

@halfdeaddavid21 In another comment he's citing a CSIS report that's 7 years old, so you're absolutely correct...🤣

@TheGreatAmphibian Moving that goalpost by bringing in another engine manufacturer? Pratt and Whitney has been plagued with so many problems it cost them 1.6 billion USD to fix their screw ups. Once again your opinion is worth about as much as the words typed on this comment...🤣
3
@TheGreatAmphibian Please, engine developement cycles take at least a decade, and that's with unlimited access to western technology. No matter how much you want to keep China and their developement down it's not going to happen. Denying reality is not a good look...🤣
3
@TheGreatAmphibian Incompetence? You have it in spades. Every comment you post can easily be refuted with a simple search. Don't you have any self-respect?🤣

@TheGreatAmphibian "Yes, the Leap is AVAILABLE on the Max - but as an option for buyers who can’t afford the good engine from P&W." According to Safran and Boeing the LEAP-1B is the only engine available for the 737 Max. Reason is because the engine has an integrated design. Once again facts that can be easily verified...🤣
3
@TheGreatAmphibian "No, I’m not moving the goalposts..." Yes you are because Pratt & Whitney is not an engine option offered on the 737 Max...🤣
3
@sinic1978 I know, it's pathetic.

@TheGreatAmphibian You've been proven wrong at least twice in this thread, but I don't have the time to pick the rest of your arguments apart. You keep claiming I have no case when you keep making these parochial errors. Aren't you embarrassed in the least?🤣
3
@TheGreatAmphibian "Yes, that China makes jet engines is a fact. However, I said DECENT jet engines." No true Scotsman argument, how brilliant...🤣
3
@TheGreatAmphibian I will use your own words to prove that you are wrong: 1) "Note the C919 uses a bottom of the barrel imported western engine." - The C919 uses the LEAP-1C. This is the latest engine available from Safran and outperforms the LEAP-1B. Claiming Pratt and Whitney is "superior" only proves that you're just a fanboi. According to actually people in the industry both have their strengths and weaknesses. 2) "Yes, the Leap is AVAILABLE on the Max - but as an option for buyers." - LEAP-1B is the ONLY OPTION for the 737 Max, there's no other engine available. You don't even have the decency to admit you're wrong when it's obvious. It's like arguing with a child...🤣
3
@TheGreatAmphibian Now you've reduced everything to name calling and strawman arguments because you have no actual facts to back up any of your claims. LEAP-1B is the exclusive engine for the Max 737 while the LEAP-1C is the exclusive engine for the C919. It's not that difficult to look up the operating specs, so I assume you're just being childish again...🤣
3
@TheGreatAmphibian More strawman arguments? Specs for all three variants of the LEAP engines are available on wikipedia and they clearly show the LEAP-1C outperforms the LEAP-1B. Once again facts that can be easily verified...🤣
3
@TheGreatAmphibian There are two choices of engines offered on the Airbus A320neo, the LEAP-1A and the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G (GTF). Guess which one is chosen by the buyer 75% of the time? It's the LEAP engine mostly due to reliability issues with the GTF. That makes three times you've been proven wrong...🤣
3
@sinic1978 It has to be because it took me literally 2-3 minutes to look most of this stuff up...🤣
