In today's world there's no way to have an independent supply chain due to China's dominance in the industry. It's best to partner with China for local production so at least the materials and manufacturing stay within Australia.

@obiwan5781 Indonesia did this with their ban on raw nickel export. Now refining occurs in Indonesia with a partnership that includes Chinese companies. Australia could have a similar outcome with rare earth refining. What where you saying about garbage?🤡

@DCZ-o5m We all know that Australia is at fault for distancing themselves from China. If the relationship was more amicable you could see movement in this area.
