@felixsu375 By then the Chinese will have moved on to something more advanced while the US plays catch-up. Best option of course would be to work together, but the choice was made by the US not to and so they'll have to live with the consequences.

@PhiloSurfer Electric cars were invented in the 1890s. The only reason they were abandon was the battery technology could not compete with the ICE. As battery technology progressed EVs started to resurface into the marketplace once again. Guess where the largest and most technologically advanced EV battery manufacturers are located?

@PhiloSurfer I totally agree that oil monopolies have been trying to kill EVs for over a century. However it was advances in battery technology that promoted the resurgence of EVs, and the Chinese dominate that entire supply chain. If they didn't I believe EVs would have been crushed for at least another 20 years.
