  1. Decoupling with 750 billion dollars worth of trade would be a disaster for China and the US. Difference is that China can eventually replace US markets with that of the global south as incomes rise and inequity decreases. However the US can't replace Chinese imports since supply chains and infrastructure in China is very well developed and replicating this environment in other countries would take decades and trillions of dollars in investment.

  2. Sorry, but your 100% wrong. What you claim may have been the case 20 years ago , but today China has their own indigenous brands and production capability that is flourishing. In fact 136 Chinese companies are on the Fortune 500 list, which beats out the US with 124. If US companies leave the Chinese market they will quickly be replaced and become competitors in the global market. And who's going to pay for all of this investment into other countries when US companies profits nosedive due to the loss of the Chinese market?
