At the University of Miami the drop in Chinese students has caused deficits of $59 million in their 4-year school and over $20 million in their business school.

With no Chinese students the US will have billions of dollars sucked out of the university system, which will have to be covered by the remaining students through higher fees and tuition.

@mudshovel289 Because a shortfall has to be made up with either an increase in taxes, a decrease in services, or a combination of both. There's no way around this.

@mudshovel289 Europe is in long term decline. You can only fleece your tax base so much before they leave for good. Then what? It's better to have an external source of revenue instead of shifting the burden to taxpayers.
