Another handout to corporations? The grifting never ends...🤣😂🤣😂

A win-win scenario, but the US only does zero-sum. I predict for the US there's going to be a lot of goose eggs with no numbers or dollar signs in-front of them...🤣😂🤣😂

@mudshovel289 China isn't pouring money into a technology with the sole purpose of denying others access to that technology. On the contrary China is more than willing to share their indigenous developed technology on a non-discriminatory basis. We all know that US corporations will end up using those funds for acquisitions, bonuses, and stock buybacks with little going to actual research. It's just another government grift to consolidate wealth into the hands of the few. Socialism for the rich, market capitalism for everyone else...🤣😂🤣😂

@mudshovel289 China already sells there fab equipment to other countries, you just pulled that little scenario out of your backside. China isn't into hording technology to the detriment of others. In fact they make more money if they license and share the technology. The US still has the colonial mindset and superiority complex that they retain their hegemony and dominate. So buybacks are not allowed, but acquisitions and bonuses are perfectly fine. There's always a loophole in these proposals, it's by design. I should also mention that tu quoque is not an argument, but you don't even know what that means.

@mudshovel289 Throughout most of history China had the highest GDP with a 60% share of the world's output. China lost that position in 1800s with the brutal subjugation perpetrated by colonial powers. You need to brush up on your history, or at least stop ignoring it. The Chinese have also done extremely well in the last 20-30 with regards to business and economic developement, so I don't think they need your business "advice". The "white man" isn't going to be the top dog anymore, get used to it...🤣😂🤣😂

@mudshovel289 Direct quote from the following whitepaper: Taking Stock of China’s Semiconductor Industry Tuesday, Jul 13, 2021, 4:30pm by Semiconductor Industry Association "In the highly interconnected and layered global semiconductor supply chain, however, China currently possesses some notable strengths. It is already a global leader in outsourced assembly, packaging, and testing (OSAT). China’s leading OSAT players are ranked among the top 10 OSAT companies in the world, collectively holding 38% of the total OSAT market in 2020. Chinese OSAT firms have also gone global, with more than 30% of their manufacturing facilities based outside of China."

@mudshovel289 Keep moving that goalpost. You still have no argument that China will hoard their indigenous fab equipment once developed. Also Taiwan is part of China according to the UN and the "One China" policy endorsed by the US. It's only a matter of time before the mainland has access to the technology. This would have already happened if it wasn't for US machinations. Face the facts, the US is on the losing end of this semiconductor war and no amount of money is going to help them win.
1
@mudshovel289 You've moved the goalpost so many times I can't even count. In any case the US is going to lose its semiconductor lead, end of discussion. You have to be a fool or an ideologue not to see this. This isn't the 1980's with Japan and the Plaza Accord. China isn't occupied by the US, and they have nuclear weapons.

@mudshovel289 I see that you're using the "we" terminology, therefore your entire spiel is agenda driven and not based in reality. Titling at windmills seems to be a US specialty so they can continue fleecing the American public of their hard earned tax dollars....🤣😂🤣😂

@mudshovel289 Sorry, but I didn't vote for this nonsense. I voted for healthcare and education. You have me mistaken with another imaginary enemy. I know it's hard to keep up, but please try...🤣😂🤣😂

@mudshovel289 Your confusing government with home. My government does not reflect the values and principles I keep. In fact I don't think the government reflects the values and principles of any sane person. I gave up on them a long time ago.

@mudshovel289 Sorry, but it looks like the Wall Street Journal agrees with me...🤣😂🤣😂 Congress Goes All in for Computer Chip Subsidies Competing with China is the new excuse for corporate welfare. By The Editorial Board Updated July 19, 2022 7:14 am ET "Industrial policy is back in fashion in Washington, or as it ought to be called, corporate welfare. The semiconductor industry is first in the queue, but it won’t be the last. Taxpayers should at least know they’ll be subsidizing highly profitable companies that don’t need the help and might end up regretting the political handcuffs they’re acquiring."

@mudshovel289 "Once I get my STEM degree..." while at the exact same time ten people in China are getting their STEM degrees. Still think the US can win with a ten to one disadvantage? Best option for the US is to play nice and in the process make lots of money. China doesn't call it win-win for nothing you know.

@mudshovel289 "You don’t win anything here by getting the last word.." they why did you reply? You're really not saying anything except repeating the same nonsense over and over again. Facts are pesky thinks you know.
1
@mudshovel289 Well we know that your not very successful because you're arguing with some stranger on YouTube. I'm just presenting facts and clear inevitabilities. I'm not the one instigating some technology war between the US and China. My position has always been that collaboration would be much more profitable for everyone involved. So go ahead and cheerlead for your little war. Just don't be too disappointed when your side eventually losses when it didn't have to be this way.

@mudshovel289 Wow, you know there are decaffeinated brands on the market that are just as good. I really have to stop interacting with you because you're obviously way too immature to realize that things change, empire doesn't last forever. With 30+ trillion in national debt the US is on borrowed time with all the money printing and chasing diminishing returns. It's not a future I'm looking forward to. My suggestion would be to learn Mandarin. Just think how much more marketable you would be...🤣😂🤣😂

@mudshovel289 According to Bloomberg China kicked production of advanced chips into high gear despite US attempts to stop them. China’s Top Chipmaker Achieves Breakthrough Despite US Curbs By Debby Wu and Jenny Leonard July 21, 2022 at 1:43 AM EDT "Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. has likely advanced its production technology by two generations, defying US sanctions intended to halt the rise of China’s largest chipmaker. The Shanghai-based manufacturer is shipping Bitcoin-mining semiconductors built using 7-nanometer technology, industry watcher TechInsights wrote in a blog post on Tuesday. That’s well ahead of SMIC’s established 14nm technology, a measure of fabrication complexity in which narrower transistor widths help produce faster and more efficient chips. Since late 2020, the US has barred the unlicensed sale to the Chinese firm of equipment that can be used to fabricate semiconductors of 10nm and beyond, infuriating Beijing."

China won't do that, you know why? Because they make more money if they share resources instead of hording them.
