Over 40% of ASML sales are to China. As of October 2023, ASML had generated 28 billion in revenue for the prior 12 month period, so I don't think shareholders are going to be very happy with that haircut. ASML has now official ceded the entire Chinese market to lithography manufacturer SMEE, and they're popping the champagne right now in Shanghai...🤣😂🤣😂

@topsuperseven7910 Who are they going to sell those chips to when China is 60% of the entire semiconductor market?

@topsuperseven7910 Semiconductor Consumption by Region 2019: Japan: 38.7 Billion Europe: 48.1 Billion Other: 48.8 Billion North America: 59.5 Billion China: 212.2 Billion What the Chinese are doing is enhancing domestic production of older nodes and developing processes for newer advanced chips like the new 7nm and the soon to be release 5 nm semiconductors from SMIC. It's not the US that is de-coupling from China with regards to chip production, but China de-coupling from the western supply chain. Once domestic production reaches critical mass the Chinese market will be lost forever to western companies. They no longer will be able to generate the kind of revenue for research and development as advanced semiconductors are very capital intensive. Instead they'll have to be subsidized by the government just to keep one step ahead of the Chinese...🤣😂🤣😂

@topsuperseven7910 Did you actually watch the video and read the subtitles? He's complaining the US is using national security as pretext for denying China access to lithography machines from other sovereign countries while violating international trade rules and undermining integrated semiconductor supply chains. Also your acquiesce to my previous post pretty much confirms my argument. Thank you for playing, please try again...🤣😂🤣😂

@topsuperseven7910 China will have the last laugh once that 212.2 billion market is no longer available to the west. Don't listen to me, listen to Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia: “If we are deprived of the Chinese market, we don’t have a contingency for that. There is no other China, there is only one China,” Huang said, adding that there would be “enormous damage to American companies” if they were unable to trade with Beijing. - Chip wars with China risk ‘enormous damage’ to US tech, says Nvidia chief, Financial Times, May 24 2023 You've been warned. Enjoy your schadenfreude while you still can...🤣😂🤣😂

@ebf1003 con·sump·tion /kənˈsəm(p)SH(ə)n/ noun 1. the using up of a resource. "industrialized countries should reduce their energy consumption" We are taking about imports of semiconductors, not exports. In 2019 China was only about 7% of global chip production, so the remaining was all imported. This can easily be verified through multiple sources. Inflated GDP? You mean how the US calculates GDP with imputed rent and credit card late fees? 🤣😂🤣😂
1
@ebf1003 Late fees in the US range from $25 to $41. CFPB new credit card late fee regulation hasn't gone into effect due to legal challenges and will most likely go to SCOTUS for a final ruling. Thank you for playing, please try again...😂🤣😅🤣

@ebf1003 Real estate or infrastructure produce tangible items and should be included in GDP. Imputations are inferences, they're not real...🤣😂🤣😂

@ebf1003 Who am I going to believe? The CEO of a multiple billion dollar corporation with a vested interest in the semiconductor industry or some random person on Youtube who's usually wrong? 🤣😂🤣😂

@ebf1003 Innocent companies like Amazon who infringe on Huawei's patents? Or was that T-Mobile? Or Apple? I forget since everyone infringes on everyone else's patents. That's why they all have cross licensing deals...🤣😂🤣😂
1
@ebf1003 Where's the tu quoque argument? I just stated the obvious fact they all have cross licensing deals. Selective responses? I only respond to arguments that are NOT dripping with logical fallacies and are NOT incoherent, so that's your fault, not mine...🤣😂🤣😂

@ebf1003 "I have real life real work to do" - I thought you got paid by the post? You never stated anything about "state sponsored industrial espionage" in any of your comments prior to the last one. You have to convey what's going on in that melon of yours before making accusations. It's simple common courtesy...🤣😂🤣😂

@Mudshovel-xx6se Coping? Try reality. If the past few years are indicative of the resolve the Chinese have with regards to semiconductors then western companies are in for a lot of pain, which affects everyone. No man is an island.
