Β @dyu999Β I don't know why you're arguing with a stranger on Youtube. Indonesia is not going to close down the HSR project. In fact they're going to extend the line to Surabaya, so all your ranting and raving will produce absolutely nothing. I suggest a hobby like painting or sailing to relieve all your pent up frustration...π€£ππ€£π

"This train won't make profit for 40 years..." Because public works projects always need to turn a profit...π€£ππ€£π

Β @dyu999Β Who said the air quality will improve? I only made the statement those one million people who did not travel by car or bus did not spew toxic emissions into the atmosphere, useless you believe that electric trains produce emissions. Also if that electricity is produced with fossil fuels it's much easier to control emissions at the power plant than at the tailpipe of 100,000 vehicles, so it's a net benefit for the environment.

Β @dyu999Β Citing one metric with limited information then calling it a complete failure without taking into account the entire scope of the project is short sighted and quite frankly childish. I already pointed to a document by authoritative sources that outlines all aspects of the project and its viability. Your argument is specious and self-serving since it fails to take into account the projects goals and objectives as a whole. It's like saying this car is a piece of junk because it has a flat tire.

Β @dyu999Β Well you can submit your own feasibility study to the Indonesian government with all the research as to why the extension should not be built. I'm sure they will listen to you...π€£ππ€£π

Β @dyu999Β "ε»Ίε replied to your reply on ε»Ίε's comment" I see where the hate is coming from. Too bad the DPP is going to get crushed...π€£ππ€£π

Β @dyu999Β Do you honestly believe they didn't conduct a feasibility study for a multiple billion dollar project? I would suggest asking the Indonesian government since it's most likely public record.

Β @dyu999Β Your the one making the claim, not me. I just stated that a feasibility study was performed and the conclusion was the project was viable. In fact a quick Google search produced a document called "Feasibility Study for Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway Project" requested by the Republic of Indonesia Coordination Ministry for Economic Affairs. So who am I going to believe? A group of five well established consulting and engineering firms who produced a detailed 115 page report on the topic or some random person on Youtube?

Β @abcddef2112Β You also have one million less people jammed into cars and buses spewing toxic fumes into the atmosphere...π€£ππ€£π

Β @abcddef2112Β ...plus the 150+ people that would have been killed in traffic accidents. Indonesia has a traffic fatality rate of 15.3 per 100,000.
4
Β @dyu999Β I don't need construction figures since I don't have to justify anything, especially to you. I can tell you that the fatality rate for those one million people that took the HSR was zero. You can't say with a straight face a three hour trip by car or bus for one million people would produce the same zero result. I know those straws have to be grasped, but you have to make the BS somewhat believable...π€£ππ€£ π

Β @dyu999Β I'm sure the Indonesian government did an extensive feasibility study that's a lot more comprehensive than the back of that napkin you scribbled on...π€£ππ€£π
