  1.  @s4ss  That's complete and utter BS. West latched on to Russian space tech because it was superior. With two failures of the Space Shuttle the US scrapped their program and started using Russian rocket engines for 20 years. The Russian Orbital Segment (ROS) of the ISS handles guidance, navigation, and control for the entire station, everything else is ancillary.
