You can't possibly know if it has never been done before. And that wife is, herself, also a famous actress. Not just some nobody wife of a big star. And the joke was a minor joke that was, in no way, insulting. It was the opposite. He likened her to a hott badass.

@sonotover I am a woman and I think it is kinda misogynist to think we, as a group, are so fragile that we can't take jokes and that we, solely because we are women, (based off your "If you were a woman...") means we can't take it. Also based on that same intro, you think women think like a block. We don't have individual autonomy, apparently? I see tons of women say the exact things I am. It is ok to joke about men being bald, but not a woman? A joke that was not insulting since she was likened to a badass? So when a girl makes an innocen joke (say...likening him to hott Bruce Willis) about my husband's baldness, I should smack her? Sorry. That is asinine.

@sonotover Comedy is subjective. To you it wasn't funny. To others, it was. It is not out of bounds to do what comedians are hired to do. Make jokes. They often make fun of ppl up front.
